What you are buying
ScubaGlobe Privilege Club is not a travel agent.

The actual reservations are confirmed by the individual operators, and are subject to all the terms and conditions of the participating operator, and constitute a binding contract between the member and the operator.

ScubaGlobe Privilege Club enables its members to avail of a minimum 10% discount on products and service at participating operators in return for a non-refundable 5% deposit.

What members are actually purchasing from us is initially an annual membership, and secondly a minimum 10% discount on products and services at participating operators booked online through our website.

ScubaGlobe Privilege Club has contracted discounted rates with participating operators on behalf of its members.

Only operators we believe to be honest, good value, safe and legitimate are invited to become participating outlets.

While we strive to ensure the goods and services on offer are presented accurately, we are not the operator ourselves and therefore we have no contractual responsibility to members in regards to the products and services offered. Nonetheless, we may still be held liable if we have misrepresented the services on offer in any way, if we have been negligent or have breached any other appropriate and relevant law.

Members obtain a discount through the ScubaGlobe Privilege Club, but contract the selected travel, accommodation and diving arrangements directly with the participating operator and are subject to the terms and conditions applied by the participating operator.

How you are buying
The diving, travel and accommodation services on our site are on provided for you to offer to purchase at a minimum 10% discount on posted rack (full) rates that appear on the participating operator’s website. You do not offer to purchase the goods and services until you make your initial reservation inquiry using the forms provided in the members’ section.

Your reservation inquiry is passed on to the participating operator for approval and confirmation. This confirmation is then sent to us, and we pass this on to the member. In this regard, we act as a middleman between the buyer and the seller.

We are authorised by the participating operators to deduct a minimum of 10% from the total package cost based on the operator’s rack (full) rates as posted on its internet site.
We are authorised by the participating operators to accept a 5% non-refundable booking fee that confirms the reservation and the discounted total on their behalf.

Once the 5% non-refundable deposit has been received, this constitutes a binding contract between the member and the participating operator.

Cancellations
Every operator has its own set of terms and conditions, including payment and cancellation policies. These are clearly indicated at every stage of the transaction.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to make sure they have read and clearly understand the appropriate terms and conditions, including payment and cancellation policies.

Regardless of the circumstances, the 5% non-refundable deposit fee will not be returned.

Payment
Payment for all goods and services available on the ScubaGlobe website (www.scubaglobe.com) can be made using your Paypal account (www.paypal.com) or by secure credit card transaction through WorldPay.

Please note that our Paypal payment facilities are denominated in US dollars. All transactions made on our website www.scubaglobe.com will be charged to the buyer’s Paypal account in US dollars.

Complaints
While we and the participating operators strive to ensure that everything will be perfect on your vacation, occasionally there may be problems of one kind or another.

Despite the fact that the contract for the goods and services purchased by the ScubaGlobe Privilege Club member is between the member and the operator, we will always try to act in good faith on behalf of our members to help resolve any conflicts or misunderstandings.

In case you are unable to resolve any problems directly with the operator and you require us to get involved on your behalf, please note that we must receive a formal request from you identifying as clearly and calmly as possible the exact nature of the complaint(s), all offers made by the operator by way of compensation (if any), times, dates and circumstances, within 15 days of the incident.

We will then work to try to resolve the issues in the member’s favour free of charge, and ensure that the issues are handled in a transparent and courteous manner.

Liability Release and Risk Assumption
Diving is a potentially dangerous sport. www.scubaglobe.com, ScubaGlobe Privilege Club, ScubaGlobe Asia Pacific, MediaGlobe, Samon Publishing Inc, Samon Publishing Co. Ltd, their employees, officers and associated entities, cannot be held liable for and will not be responsible for wrongful death, injuries to the person, any property damage, or other incidents that may happen during dive activities, either as a result of the inherent risks associated with scuba diving or as a result of acts or omissions of other third parties.

Proof of training
Before being allowed to dive with a participating operator, it is the responsibility of the guest to furnish proof of training to the level that the dives they intend to make require in the opinion of the operator. This will at a minimum require the guests to produce a legitimate, internationally recognised proof of certification to the appropriate level of training, such as c-card issued by PADI, CMAS, BSAC, SSI, NAUI, or other internationally recognized training agency, and possibly a current log book. The final decision as to whether a guest will be permitted to dive rests solely with the operator..

Insurance
Members should ensure that they have adequate diving, medical, and travel insurance to cover them throughout their trip. DAN membership offers worldwide diving accident and medical insurance; there are other agencies offering similar packages.
